Seaside is a vacation destination dating back to the 1870s. With its grand oceanfront promenade offering leisurely walking with a view of the Pacific Ocean, Seaside is an easily reachable fairground by the water.
Oregon’s first seashore resort community, Seaside has maintained its legacy as one of the most popular year-round family destinations on the Coast. At the end of a nearly direct route on Highway 26 from Portland, it’s not hard to reach for even a day trip on the North Coast. Spanning the Necanicum River, Seaside’s Broadway Street features unique restaurants, pubs, and cafes and ends at the beachfront promenade. Down on the beach, enjoy kayaking, hiking, razor clamming, and kite flying: there’s enough space that you’ll rarely feel crowded.
