26th Annual Manzanita Beach Walk & Run
A wide expanse of hard-packed sand stretches from the cliffs of Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain south to Nehalem Bay Jetty. Cape Lookout to the south & Neah-Kah-Nie to the north provide aphotoesque finish. Come see why so many are calling this "One of the most scenic runs in the region!" The race begins at the foot of the Laneda Avenue, that runs through the center of Manzanita, on the sandy shores of Manzanita Beach. Runners begin in a single start heading south towards Nehalem Bay Jetty. Runners will then change course and head back north towards a photoesque finish of Neahkahnie Mountain meeting the sands of Manzanita Beach. Mile markers and volunteers on course provide direction for runners on turn arounds as well as aid. There wil be music playing to pump runners up for their event as well as snacks afterwards for runners to refuel on. Awards for top finishers as well a raffle for prizes will be held afterwards.
Manzanita Music Festival 2016
The Manzanita Music Festival will be an annual music celebration that presents a multi genre (Americana, Folk, Pop, Reggae, Bluegrass) collection of local, regional, and national musicians.
The festival is partnering with the Hoffman Center for the Arts and the North County Recreation District. These partners promote the educational, recreational, social, and physical well being of
residents of Tillamook County. Proceeds from the event will support other like-minded organizations in our community.
The festival will take place Saturday July 23rd and Sunday July 24th, 2016 in downtown Manzanita. It will kick off at the beach after the 26th Annual Manzanita Beach Walk and Run
then extend up Laneda Avenue to stages at 3rd and Laneda and a main stage at the Hoffman Center Garden on Laneda next to the library. Besides amazing music, we will have local/regional
craft brew, wine, and food.
