The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) is recruiting for a Strategic Communications Coordinator to help build and maintain a seamless internal/external system of communication between OCVA, state tourism agencies, government officials and a wide range of tourism industry stakeholders.
This position requires the skills of an accomplished program manager who is technologically proficient, very politically astute, and possesses excellent time-management skills. While our work environment is fun loving and light-hearted, it is also highly demanding where continuous re-prioritization of a dozen or more projects occurs simultaneously; each with their own set timelines and multiple, rolling deadlines. Successful job performance in this environment will require a rock-solid work ethic, calm demeanor and positive “Can Do” attitude. Our tourism world is always changing and our need to continuously adapt is paramount. Therefore, we seek an intuitive team player who deals well with transitional environments and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
Successful candidate may live (relocate to) anywhere on the Oregon Coast, but will be required to live within a 20-mile range of the City of Tillamook for the first 6 months – unless candidate has recent and extensive knowledge of The Peoples Coast Network and state-wide system of DMO’s and RDMO’s.
An estimated 25% business travel (1 week per month) should be expected to effectively perform duties described in the full job description.
