Promote Your Events with the Oregon Coast Visitors Association
Did you know that our events page is the number one visited page on our website? Visitors are actively searching for events on the Oregon Coast, and we are excited to offer a new way for our partners to get more visibility for their events.
Our content-driven approach aims to support and promote tourism events across the Oregon Coast. This initiative focuses on sharing visitor-facing events through curated monthly content, helping boost off-season visitation and strengthen regional tourism storytelling.
Coastal tourism partners: Submit your upcoming events via our new Event Listing Submission Form.
Submitted events will be added to OTIS (Oregon Tourism Information System), which feeds into our Events page, and Travel Oregon’s event page.
Each month, we will release a website article titled, “What to Do on the Oregon Coast This Month”, which will highlight some events. These articles may also be used for social media promotion.
What kind of events can I submit?
Not every community event is a fit for our events listings.
-
- We are looking for visitor-facing events like: music events, farmers markets, outdoor recreation events, and festivals.
-
- Examples of events we will not approve are: community skill-sharking workshops, gardening parties, book clubs, or fitness classes
We will review each submission, and reserve the right to exclude events that do not fit the visitor-facing criteria, or that are not aligned with our brand and values.
Photo submission criteria:
Please note that every event submission does require a photo. We CANNOT accept any logos or posters. A photo showcasing the event, or a stock photo is the most suitable file type.
Photo details:
-
- You can upload up to 9 photos (less than 0.5 MB each)
-
- No logos or poster images will be accepted
-
- Please include a photo credit and caption
We are excited to offer this strategy as a response to consistent interest from both visitors and industry partners in a centralized, trusted source for event information. We also look forward to its impact on promoting off-season travel, reinforcing stewardship messaging, and increasing visibility through AI-driven search tools.
