Natural Beauty Enveloped by Coastal Forests

Nehalem is a picturesque riverside town built on the Nehalem River, just a few minutes drive from the ocean. Enveloped by the coastal forests, Nehalem’s natural beauty is quiet and idyllic.

The town’s charming and rustic business district is located right on Highway 101 alongside the river, and recalls the area’s history as a timber boom town with classic frontier-style buildings, raised porches, and hanging baskets of flowers. It’s a short walk to shaded riverside docks wreathed in morning fog. The nearby North Fork of the Nehalem River boasts great fishing for Coho Salmon, and Nehalem Bay is a short trip away with Chinook, sturgeon, and steelhead.
