Cape Lookout

If you’re looking for miles and miles of hiking, panoramic ocean views, and a secluded beach often filled with agates and other unique seashells, then look no further than Cape Lookout State Park. More than eight miles of hiking and walking trails wind through a lush old-growth forest, following the headland for more than two miles to reveal incredible ocean views. It’s a great spot to whale watch, or just get some wave therapy.

The North Trail of the Cape Lookout State Park will be closed for the early part of 2025 due to damage to the suspension bridge.
