Astoria has a rich history which it is turning into a growing tourism industry. The reinvention of the waterfront from a fishing-based use to tourist destinations hasn’t overlooked the maritime industry that put the city on the map.

ASTORIA, OREGON – July 21, 2013 – The 17th Street Dock Reconstruction Project, dedicated in May 2013, adds a riverboat dock to the Columbia lightship attraction, at the Columbia River Maritime Museum.
