From hiking adventures to the stories of the fishermen who provide our local seafood, the Oregon Coast is full of narratives waiting to be told. That’s what the Travel Oregon Media Marketplace was all about—connecting Oregon’s diverse regions with travel writers, journalists, and content creators who bring these stories to life. This year’s event focused on wellness, a theme that resonates deeply with the Oregon Coast.

The Oregon Coast Visitors Association’s communications team designed an immersive booth highlighting the many ways to experience wellness on the coast. From gravel biking and estuary paddling to seafare foraging and forest bathing, we showcased how the Oregon Coast is a place where people can find a restorative experience connecting with the natural world.

Our team was joined by Alanna Kieffer of Shifting Tides, who engaged with writers about regenerative Oregon Coast seafare and spoke on a panel about how this work supports both wellness and resilience for coastal communities.

Attendees walked away with fresh story ideas—and a few gifts that brought the essence of the coast to them: locally caught and packaged tuna from Port Orford Sustainable Seafood, Jacobson Salt Co.’s signature sea salt, and a coastal print from photographer Jeremy Burke.

A huge thanks to Travel Oregon for creating this opportunity to build meaningful connections with travel media and industry partners. Events like these help us amplify the stories that make the Oregon Coast a truly special place to visit—and to live.
