Kayaking in the Moonlight

Adventure awaits. Head out from Knight Park for an exciting moonlit (weather permitting) paddle in the Salmon River estuary. Enjoy this unique, Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative naturalist-led tour.

Boating Options

1. Bring your own kayak or canoe, paddle, PFD, and whistle
2. Don't have a boat? Arrange for a rental from local Safari Town Surf Shop and have everything delivered to the park.

Basic requirements include:

• Kayak / canoe
• Paddle
• PFD (Personal Floatation Device)
• Whistle (signaling device)
• Non-cotton, appropriate apparel (Always dress for the water temperature, which is cold)
• Other safety equipment: bilge pump or bailer, throw rope, and float bags
• Waterway Access and Aquatic Invasive Species Permit (10' or longer boats)
