Bird Watching Explorience & Lincoln City Osprey Day
Be part of Seven Capes Bird Alliance's inaugural celebration of Oregon's State Raptor by attending an exciting day of fun for the whole family.
The event's activities include the following:
Bird Walk at Nesika City Park, 9-11 a.m.
Visit a nesting Osprey pair while also looking for songbirds in the woods and wetlands!
Meet at SE 3rd and SE Mast.
Osprey Nest Observations, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Volunteers from the Osprey Watch Team will be observing some of the Lincoln City nests with scopes (look for Osprey Day flags!). Check the Seven Capes Bird Alliance website for a final list of nest locations after July 1st.
Osprey Day Activities, 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Lincoln City Cultural Center (540 NE Hwy. 101)
11:30 AM: Doors open, children’s activities begin in the Elizabethan Room
Noon: Mayor Susan Wahlke proclaims Lincoln City Osprey Day!
12:15 PM: Chintimini Wildlife Center presents live raptors
1:15 PM: Door prize pull
1:30 PM: My Life as an Osprey family story time
2 PM: Door prize pull
2:15 p.m.: Children’s activities wrap up
2:30 PM: Your Song, My Song musical performance
3:30 PM: Door prize pull
4 PM: Event concludes
All afternoon: Osprey exhibit, wingspan photo booth, free snacks, and fun!
