Bird Watching Explorience
Bird lovers can flock to this Explorience, hosted by the Seven Capes Bird Alliance, to learn about coastal birds and their natural habitat. This bird-watching adventure starts with a brief overview by a local expert followed by a guided walk at the Cascade Head Interpretive Wayside, a part of the Salmon River Estuary Restoration Area. Migrating warblers and other songbirds call this sensitive area home.
This Bird Watching Explorience begins Friday, September 12th at 9 a.m., lasts for two hours, is free, and requires no registration. Meet at the Cascade Head Interpretive Wayside on North Fraser Road, just north of Lincoln City, at the junction of Highway 101 and Highway 18.
Safety
Weather conditions can be unpredictable on the Oregon Coast, so please practice caution while participating. Always stay on the trails, protect wildlife habitat, and keep small children near you at all times. As this walk is inside Cascade Head, dogs are not allowed, even when leashed.
