Toledo’s 21st Annual Art Walk Registration Begins
The Yaquina River Museum of Art is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its 21st annual Labor Day Weekend Art Walk. Art Walk is a self-guided tour through the many studios and galleries in Toledo. The three day event has become a major draw for tourists and locals alike. This year’s theme is “Art Walk 21: We’ve Come of Age.”
Art Walk is open to all artists living and working within the Toledo Fire Protection District and their guests. Several of the local artists invite artists from outside of Toledo to show with them in their studios, galleries, or other pop up gallery spaces throughout town. All artists who are interested in showing are urged to register as soon as possible in order to take full advantage of the publicity offered by the Art Walk organization.
The cost to participate this year is $125 per individual artist, or $250 for a group show. Registration forms and fees may be submitted no later than May 1. The Art Walk Board has chosen this year to “go green” by emailing the registration forms to as many of the local artists as they can. Anyone interested in participating may request a registration form by emailing [email protected], or by visiting the Yaquina River Museum of Art office during the hours it is open to the public.
Finishing touches are also being made on a juried plein air show offering cash awards that will be part of this year’s Art Walk. More details and registration information will be released soon.
