Each year, the Oregon Coast Visitors Association invests in the creation of our official visitor guide—a comprehensive resource designed to inspire, inform, and welcome travelers to the People’s Coast.

Through Travel Oregon’s statewide Travel Oregon Regional Pack (TORP), our guides are distributed directly to potential visitors who request travel information. In FY 2025 alone, more than 23,000 copies were mailed out through TORP, representing an estimated $1.7 million in potential economic impact based on Travel Oregon’s visitor guide conversion study. These numbers capture the distribution of the guide through Travel Oregon’s channels, but many more are distributed through our coastal visitor centers.
This one-pager highlights the measurable impact of TORP distribution, but the bigger story is what it means for our communities: visitor guides play a key role in shaping travel decisions, encouraging longer stays, and connecting people with coastal businesses.

The guides are full of practical information like dining, lodging and recreation options, trip-planning inspiration, and insider tips from locals— but it’s not only a storytelling tool for our region. It’s also as a practical resource for our partners. Stocking the visitor guide in your business helps ensure guests have access to accurate, engaging information that enhances their experience and drives them to explore more of the coast.
Whether you’re a lodging property, shop, restaurant, or attraction, keeping copies on hand is a simple but powerful way to connect with visitors and support the coastal economy.
