Destination development initiatives from the North, Central and South Coast were recognized at the 2019 Oregon Governor’s Conference in April. South Coast Regional Tourism Network was awarded the Oregon Tourism Innovative Partnership Award. The cities on the Southern Oregon Coast – from Brookings to Reedsport and inland through the Oregon Coast Range – are breaking new ground when it comes to partnerships and collaboration. They are doing things that have never been done before in the region or the state. They call it: Pressing Sand.
Explore Lincoln City was recognized with the Oregon Tourism Digital Marketing Award. Explore Lincoln City’s campaign, “Random Acts of Findness” received the Digital Marketing Award, which celebrates a digital campaign that brings potential travelers closer to their favorite destinations and engages with them in fun and innovative ways. And, Visit Tillamook was presented with the Oregon Niche Tourism Award for the development of the North Coast Food Trail, which brings together the best of the tasty and rugged food-related activities from Cannon Beach, the Tillamook Coast and Lincoln City.
