North Coast Meeting to Learn About Resident Sentiment on Tourism

Join the North Coast Tourism Management Network (NCTMN) for its next meeting in September. These meetings are open to the public, with the purpose of assisting tourism organizations, industry stakeholders, and network participants to increase the economic, social and environmental benefits of tourism in the region.

In September’s meeting (Wednesday, Sept. 11), Javier Parada-Torres & Kate Baumgartner of Travel Oregon will  share data from Travel Oregon’s 2024 Resident Sentiment Study. This statewide study measured residents’ quality of life, perceptions of how tourism impacts their wellbeing, and overall support for tourism in Oregon. Over 6,800 responses were collected with representation from all 36 Oregon counties, with the biggest percentage coming from the coast!

Join us to dig into the data, and find out what the results mean for tourism on the North Coast. By understanding resident sentiment, we can better lead with a stewardship approach, and work towards more sustainable tourism.

Following their presentation, the meeting will open for general North Coast Tourism Management Network updates and discussion. Anyone interested in tourism management on the North Coast is invited to attend, whether you have attended a meeting in the past or not. We look forward to seeing you there!

About the North Coast Tourism Management Network (NCTMN)

The North Coast Tourism Management Network (NCTMN) enhances healthy, collaborative, sustainable relationships between coastal visitors, residents, and the environment.

We champion the value of tourism for our local economies while striving to minimize negative impacts of visitation and help guests become excellent stewards of the coast we call home.

We assist tourism organizations, industry stakeholders, and network participants to increase the economic, social and environmental benefits of tourism in the region.

We connect Tillamook and Clatsop counties through projects and conversations that bridge our region and overcome funding restrictions that limit individual organizations’ impacts.
