International visitors are a key driver of sustainable tourism on the Oregon Coast. They stay longer, spend more, and often travel during off-peak seasons, providing crucial support to local economies year-round. Travel Oregon’s initiatives attract over 1.5 million international visitors annually, and as the Coast’s Regional Destination Management Organization, we play a pivotal role in these efforts. Our presence at Go West ensures the Oregon Coast remains a vital part of international itineraries, helping to bolster the region’s hotels, restaurants, and tour operators while promoting economic growth across coastal communities.

Inside the Event

Go West offers a uniquely focused environment where suppliers like OCVA meet with an average of 42 travel trade buyers over two days. With a history spanning more than 37 years, this event bridges the Western United States with the global travel trade. According to the 2024 post-event survey, buyers are expected to bring 4.2 million visitors to the United States over the next 18 months!

The format of the event is unique. Every 12 minutes, Stacey met with a different travel trade organization. The pace was fast, and meant she was able to have lots of productive conversations with folks who were truly excited about the Oregon Coast.

“It was a privilege to collaborate with colleagues from across the state, all of whom are incredibly skilled and passionate. It reinforced how fortunate we are to work together in showcasing Oregon’s diverse offerings.” Stacey said. “The Oregon Coast—and Oregon as a whole—stands out not only for its natural beauty but also because of the reputation we’ve collectively built as a world-class destination. It’s an honor to represent that on a global stage.”

Through Stacey’s leadership and OCVA’s dedication to global outreach, the Oregon Coast continues to shine as a premier international travel destination, driving sustainable growth and delivering lasting benefits to our coastal communities.
