Oregon Sea Grant’s Shop at the Dock and Discover Oregon Seafood Tours are back for 2025, inviting locals and visitors to experience Oregon’s working waterfronts firsthand.

These free, guided dockside tours offer an opportunity to explore the commercial fishing industry from the inside out. Led by Sea Grant fisheries experts, each tour takes participants along the docks of Oregon’s coastal ports, where they’ll learn how to source fresh, local seafood directly from fishers, understand how it’s caught, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what makes Oregon seafood sustainable.

Participants will also receive a take-home tote stocked with educational resources and a sample of local albacore tuna!

2025 tour stops include:

Ilwaco, Warrenton, Garibaldi, Newport, Winchester Bay, Charleston, Port Orford, and Brookings.

Newport’s Shop at the Dock tours are first come, first served. Shop at the Dock in Newport is still first come first served. For all other locations people can reserve a free ticket at Eventbrite.

The tours are now live on Oregon Sea Grant’s Seafood Tours webpage and Facebook events. Promotional flyers are also available to help spread the word.

Organizers are also eager to connect with value chain partners—if you work with seafood direct marketers who might be interested in coordinating or selling off their boats during these tours, we would love to hear from you.
