Cape Kiwanda

Cape Kiwanda is a hotbed of activity, and also has one of the most unique beaches along the Tillamook Coast. It’s been called the most “dog-friendly” beach around – partially due to miles and miles of sand to run around in. Dogs (and people) also enjoy the climb to the top of the Great Dune. The views from the top of this dune are unmatched anywhere along the Oregon Coast so make sure you bring your camera – or even your paint brushes. The erosion of the sandstone cliffs have resulted in mesmerizing patterns that fascinate artists and photographers alike, and the less-known Haystack Rock is significantly larger than its more-famous sister to the north.
