Bird Watching Explorience
Bird lovers can flock to this Explorience hosted by the Seven Capes Bird Alliance to learn about coastal birds and their natural habitat. This bird-watching adventure starts with a brief overview by a local expert followed by a guided walk at the Lincoln City Wastewater Treatment Plant. Unlikely as it seems, water treatment plants are prime habitat for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds!
This Bird Watching Explorience begins Friday, October 10th at 9 a.m., lasts for two hours, is free, and requires no registration. Meet at Mo's Seafood & Chowder in Taft, then carpool (we have permission for only eight cars at the Plant) to the site.
Safety
Weather conditions can be unpredictable on the Oregon Coast, so please practice caution while participating. Always stay on the trails, protect wildlife habitat, and keep small children and animals near you at all times. If you do bring a furry friend, make sure they stay on a leash at all times.
