On the Oregon Coast, we’re committed to welcoming all, and that includes celebrating LGBTQ+ visitors and residents during Pride month and all year round.

“Here on the coast, Pride isn’t just a parade or a party—it’s a commitment,” says Scott Justus, founder of Xanadu Astoria, the first LGBTQ+ bar and grill on the Oregon Coast. “It’s a commitment to visibility, to resilience, to joy, and most of all, to one another. In a region known for rugged coastlines and independent spirit, it takes guts to build something bold and unapologetically queer.”

Read on for a roundup of Oregon Coast Pride celebrations, LGBTQ+ visitor resources, and Queer culture on the Coast.

North Coast

Astoria is home to Xanadu, where LGBTQ+ folks and allies are welcome to gather, eat, drink, and celebrate with each other. The restaurant and venue hosts drag shows, live music, karaoke, game nights, watch parties, and more. Xanadu’s full-service bar and grill offers a selection of tasty pizza, chicken and waffles, jalapeno poppers, and more from its culinary cafe, Sonny’s Astoria

Xanadu also hosts Queer Astoria, featuring queer-owned organizations and businesses and allies as a resource for locals and folks visiting from out of town. Shop the inclusive fashions at Shift + Wheeler, browse local favorite Lucy’s Books, and explore the Columbia River Maritime Museum. Then check in to the Bowline Hotel for the night, part of the Kind Traveler program.

This June, Astoria celebrates 10 years of pride celebrations. Check out Astoria Pride and LCQC Pride for event dates and information. Other North Coast organizations hosting LGBTQ+ events include Pride in Seaside and Manzanita Pride. For year-round resources and support on the North Oregon Coast, check out the Lower Columbia Q Center

Central Coast

The Central Oregon Coast is your place for a rainbow of Pride events and LGBTQ+ and ally businesses.

In Lincoln City, the Lincoln City PrideFest will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with other events happening throughout the month of June and year-round. While you’re in town, you’ll want to check out Out in L.C., which “connects Lincoln City residents, business owners, organizations, and visitors by welcoming the LGBTQ+ community in an overt, present, visually meaningful way.”

Out in L.C. offers a searchable directory to identify LGBTQ+ welcoming spaces and services in Lincoln City. Take in a concert or art exhibit at the Lincoln City Cultural Center and peruse the Lincoln City Sunday Market, pick up coffee at Left Coast Coffee Co. or a unique gift at Tah Lume, and enjoy the food carts and indoor beverage bar at The Pines Dine. You’ll want to rise early to try a donut from Lincoln City Donuts and Coffee (also known as LC/DC) before they sell out. And check out Coastal League Restaurant and Bar, a new spot serving the LGBTQ+ community.

Just to the south of Lincoln City, in nearby Gleneden Beach, order up a delicious beverage at Shoreline Smoothies, try the local fish and chips at Squatchsami Food Truck & Outpost, or pull up to the bar and catch some live music at Beachcrest Brewing Company. Experience a guided aerial or zipline tour with the Adventure Collective before spending the night at the Salishan Coastal Lodge

Plan ahead to visit Newport for Newport Pride’s annual event, happening September 19-21, 2025. Newport Pride “offers gatherings throughout the year to lift up and celebrate queer culture and history in a unique Oregon Coast way.”

In Yachats, Yachats Pride happens early in June, with this year’s “Gays in Space” event taking place June 6-8, 2025. You won’t want to miss the trans tea party, drag bingo, queer vendor market, or puppy parade, all held indoors at the Yachats Commons.

On the Central Coast, year-round support and resources are available through Oregon Central Coast PFLAG and PFLAG Florence Oregon.

South Coast

On Oregon’s South Coast, Southern Oregon Coast Pride hosts events that “foster hope and provide support for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults, educate the community about 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and to collaborate with allied individuals and organizations to advance equity and justice among marginalized groups in Coos and Curry counties.”

In Coos Bay, Coos Bay Pride in the Park will happen on Saturday, August 9, 2025, and in Brookings, Brookings Pride in the Park is taking place Saturday, June 7, 2025. Bring the whole family for arts and crafts, live performances, face painting, games, and more.

On the South Coast, Q&A is a program of Southern Oregon Coast Pride “dedicated to building a thriving community where LGBTQ youth and their allies are safe, valued, and celebrated.”
