Astoria, Ore.—The Cannery Pier Hotel was selected by the Flying Dutchman Winery as the exclusive retail distributor of Flying Dutchman wines outside of their own retail operations. This partnership adds to the selection of Oregon specialties already available in the hotel gift boutique. The hotel has also started offering Flying Dutchman wines during their weekend happy hour for guests.

“We’re proud to add the Flying Dutchman wines to the assortment of fine Oregon products that we sell in our gift boutique,” said Jake Jacob, owner of the Cannery Pier Hotel. “It’s an honor to be able to sell the only Oregon wine produced on the West coast in the oldest town on the West coast.”

Flying Dutchman winery, a small family owned winery, has been producing wine with ocean views since 1997.The Flying Dutchman is the only working winery on the Oregon coast. Dubbed as Oregon’s first “micro-winery” the Flying Dutchman has been winning awards since its first barrel. The very first vintage of Pinot Noir was awarded a gold medal at the 1999 Oregon State fair.

As Astoria’s newest luxury boutique hotel, the Cannery Pier Hotel is located at the mouth of the majestic Columbia River in Astoria, Oregon, the oldest city west of the Rockies.
