Saltair Cottage
Wow! That’s what will be said when your family pulls up in front of Saltair before even getting out of the car. Now you are officially in vacation mode!
The space
Walk up to the porch, hear those ocean waves? Aah! Now you are officially in vacation mode! This is the quiet, more spacious end of town where you will see and hear more nature than neighbors. Built in the 1920s and completely rehabilitated from the studs out less than 10 years ago, you’re stepping into a new house with old charm. The blue and white color scheme throughout with blond wood accents is soothing and the cathedral ceiling and skylights makes it open and roomy. Wireless internet access and cable TV are there for those who like to stay in touch.
Your kids will immediately run upstairs and claim the sleeping loft for themselves. You’ll be delighted when you check the cabinets in the kitchen. Spices and kitchen basics and good quality pots and pans are plentiful, even the gourmet chef of the family will be pleased. And the extras will make you smile, too. Blender to make Tillamook ice cream milkshakes? Check! Espresso machine? Check! Forks for roasting marshmallows at the patio Chimenea? Crab crackers? Oyster shuckers? Sharp knives? Check, check and check! The house holds 8 people, four in the sleeping loft with twin mattresses, and two bedrooms for couples in queen beds downstairs. The renters say having two bathrooms is a definite A plus!
Your kids will find beach toys, kites, games and puzzles under the window seat and many current and favorite DVDs. Have a toddler? A drawer full of socket protectors and a safety gate are here for you and the four mattresses in the sleeping loft are easy access beds for the little ones. The loft window has a safety guard.
