Natural Arts and Sciences on Tap: Super El Niño
Super El Niño. When does it start and how long will it last? Will the weather be colder or warmer? How will it impact the Oregon Coast and what are the best ways to prepare? These and other important questions will be answered by Dr. Mary Hunsicker, a Research Ecologist at NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Center. As one of America’s leading experts on this rare and powerful weather event, Dr. Hunsicker will address a variety of concerns utilizing her expertise of the structure and functioning of marine ecosystems and the potential impacts of climate and human activities.
