Myrtle Trees Motel

This charming motel is nestled among the Myrtlewood trees and sits just blocks from city center Myrtle Point. It overlooks the Coquille Valley Registered wetlands and is a haven for bird lovers, artists and spectators alike. It’s not uncommon to spot the great white egret, blue heron, many varieties of birds, ducks, geese, bald eagles, deer or a herd of Elk. Be sure to bring your binoculars so you can enjoy the entire habitat from your room or the picnic tables.

All of the rooms have been renovated and come with the following amenities: 1 and 2 bedrooms include a microwave, refrigerator, 32” flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. They also offer free coffee in the office to jump start your day, and all rooms come with a scenic view. All rooms are entirely non-smoking and very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

With the quiet, casual and relaxing atmosphere, many people feel like they’re on a retreat. The property is located within minutes of the Coquille River, famous for its steelhead fishing, and it’s within 30 minutes of the Bandon Dunes Golf course and ocean. The southern Oregon coastal area is very popular for the sand dunes, clamming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, agate and rock collecting, gold panning, hiking, wildflowers, waterfalls, whale watching and the famous Shore Acres gardens. Many bicyclists enjoy the hilly area which offers breathtaking views and challenging routes.

Highway 42 is the main thoroughfare for visitors wishing to travel to or from Crater Lake and the coast.
