Calling all Beach Lovers: Volunteers Needed for SOLVE’s Oregon Spring Cleanup
Volunteers are needed at dozens of beach cleanups along the Oregon coast on Saturday, April 23, for SOLVE’s statewide volunteer event, the Oregon Spring Cleanup, presented by Portland General Electric. Honor Earth Day by signing up for one of more than fifty beach cleanups happening from Reedsport to Astoria, with many places in between. Each beach cleanup is an opportunity to join family, friends, and neighbors to give back to one of Oregon’s most treasured places, our public coast.
SOLVE will provide all the necessary cleanup equipment to get the job done, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable work gloves, buckets or reused bags, and sand sifters to collect debris with. Join the team of volunteers scouring our sands for microplastics, nurdles, cigarette butts, and marine debris.
