Rising more than 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean, the Cape Perpetua lookout provides a 70-mile view of the Oregon coast on a clear day. Also, with an unobstructed view straight west over the Pacific, visitors can see more than 35 miles out to sea in optimal conditions.

The height of the Cape Perpetua Lookout and its sweeping views makes this an exceptional destination for whale watching, as well as views to Devil’s Churn, Cape Cove, Spouting Horn—and even as far south as Heceta Head. Further, when in the area, don’t miss the short hike to the Giant Spruce!
