The Oregon Coast Aquarium will open its 21st annual “Sea of Lights” after normal hours Dec. 6-7.
The kickoff event, which will feature thousands of colorful twinkling lights and holiday decorations from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will include live holiday music and an opportunity to meet Santa in his workshop.
Starting Dec. 8, “Sea of Lights” will illuminate the aquarium 5 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays throughout December.
“Guest feedback in 2012 indicated that adding weekend dates throughout the month of December would make it easier for everyone to see ‘Sea of Lights,’ ” said Lance Beck, director of marketing at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. “We are excited to offer these additional dates to our member and visitor community.”
