Winter Waters is returning to Coastal Douglas, Coos, and Curry Counties.

Friday, February 20th in Bandon

Join us for a guided tour of the Port of Bandon, where you’ll explore the future of coastal aquaculture and marine restoration. Learn from Alanna of Oregon Seaweed about land based seaweed farming, current regulations, and taste locally grown Pacific dulse. Discover innovative urchin ranching tanks with Jeff Griffen, Bandon Port Manager, and how they’re helping restore kelp forests. The experience is paired with curated bites from Chef Rory Butts of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, featuring fresh uni, dulse, and Oregon-caught seafood.

Saturday, February 21st in Reedsport

Join us in Reedsport, Oregon for a seaweed and seafood-action packed day on Saturday, February 21st, 2026. Expect a sushi-making class at Kismet’s Landing using locally caught fish, and a special seaweed rum tasting at Stillwagon Distillery. More details coming soon.

Sunday, February 22nd in Coos Bay

Join us in Coos Bay for an afternoon and evening where science, art, and the Oregon coast come together. Winter Waters is teaming up with 7 Devils Brewery for a Pub Science Talk all about seaweed and kelp, paired with seaweedy arts and crafts and plenty of coastal inspiration
