Santa’s Coastal Playground – Bay Street Holiday Festival

Bay Street transforms into Santa’s Coastal Playground, Florence’s signature holiday street festival.

Activities include:

• Lighted Balloons Giveaway: 3 – 5 p.m.
• Stroll With Santa Walk & Bike Parade: 3:30 p.m.
• Florence Community Choir Performance: 4:30 p.m.
• Santa & Mrs. Claus Arrival: 4 p.m.
• Free Hayrides provided by the Florence Public Works Department : 3 – 5 p.m.
• City Tree Lighting Ceremony: 5 p.m.

These events bring together families, neighbors, and visitors for an afternoon and evening of lights, music, and coastal holiday charm.

“You know those heartwarming holiday movie scenes about the romance and pageantry of a small town’s holiday festival that end with the whole town caroling around the city’s tree as the mayor lights it up with a countdown, live music, and great fanfare?” asked Chamber president/CEO Bettina Hannigan.

“Bring your special someone, or the whole family, and live it in person at the 2025 Florence Holiday Festival, Saturday, December 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. This year’s theme is “Santa’s Coastal Playground.” Enjoy live music, warm beverages, lighted balloons, Santa’s arrival, great holiday season sales, hayrides, caroling, and the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Celebration.

“Shopping local during the holiday season keeps the community strong,” added Hannigan. “These events aren’t just fun—they help support the businesses and workers who make Florence such a vibrant place to live.”
