Clausen Oysters

For a true farm-to-table taste of the Oregon Coast, it’s hard to get closer to the source than Clausen Oysters. Founded in 1980 by Max and Lilli Clausen, this North Bend operation has grown to include an oyster farm, processing facility, wholesale business, seafood market, and on-site restaurant. Every oyster served on the menu is grown right at Clausen’s farm in Coos Bay.

Oysters are naturally the star of the menu, appearing on the half shell and in fried oyster baskets, oyster po’ boys, oyster shooters, and creamy oyster chowder. Clausen also serves other Oregon seafood, sourcing fish through Little Fish in Coos Bay, with local favorites including rockfish fish and chips and Baja street tacos with a choice of fried oysters, shrimp, or local rockfish.

More than just a place to eat, Clausen Oysters gives visitors a chance to experience Oregon aquaculture right at the source. Guests can enjoy a seafood meal overlooking the bay, shop for fresh oysters and seafood to take home, or learn more about oyster farming, harvesting, and the coastal waters that make this South Coast seafood tradition possible.
