Hiking Explorience
Join Lincoln City Parks & Recreation for an adventure through the trails at Friends of Wildwoods. Lace up those hiking boots for a guided tour through gentle, rolling trails, canopied by Sitka spruce and western hemlock.
All of the Hiking Exploriences vary in difficulty and accessibility. Check out the specific details below and know that most trails do not have restroom facilities on site.
Exploriences are free and no registration is required.
Essential Hiking Gear
Conditions on the Oregon Coast change by the minute, so be prepared by bringing:
- Sturdy outdoor shoes
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Rain jacket

Location Details
Friends of Wildwoods features a one-mile route through woodlands, over streams and to around to a salt marsh overlook. The varied flora and fauna truly make this a hidden gem.
Parking Information
The trailhead can be accessed from West Devil's Lake Road, just north of NE 26th Street. There is a parking area opposite the 26th Street turnoff.
Safety
Please be mindful as you hike Lincoln City's open spaces. Always stay on the trails, protect wildlife habitat, and keep small children and animals near you at all times. If you do bring a furry friend, make sure they stay on leash at all times.
