Circles in the Sand – Florence, Oregon

Circles in the Sand returns to Heceta Beach at Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center in Florence on October 24 and 25, transforming hundreds of feet of shoreline into an enormous, walkable labyrinth that will exist for only a few hours before the ocean erases it.

Internationally recognized beach artist Denny Dyke and dozens of volunteers will spend several hours carefully creating the intricate design in the sand. Observers are welcome to watch the artwork take shape.

The walk-through begins at 5 p.m., giving visitors the opportunity to experience the completed labyrinth as the afternoon light changes. Sunset and the maximum low tide are at approximately 7 p.m. each day.
