Conservation and Clay: A nature walk and pottery workshop

Join the MidCoast Watersheds Council and the Ceramics Studio at the Lincoln City Cultural Center for a place-based workshop that connects conservation with hands-on clay making. Begin with a guided nature walk at the Cutler City Wetlands Trail, learning about restoration, the importance of tidal wetlands, and the role native plants play in healthy ecosystems. After the walk, head to the nearby Ceramics Studio at the Lincoln City Cultural Center to create a hand-built mug using native plants.

This program invites participants to be inspired by the botanical forms, textures, and patterns observed along the walk and transform a natural experience into art. No prior clay experience is required. Your pieces will be fired and glazed for you.
