Buzzard Butte Trail Network

The Buzzard Butte Trail Network lies east of Sand Lake, between Capes Kiwanda and Lookout in the Siuslaw National Forest, Hebo District. Currently The BBT system will be approximately 35 miles of contemporary single track, primarily on the west side of the slope offering incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, as well as providing year round ideal riding conditions. 

The newest mountain bike skills park and trail network at Whalen Knob opened in October of 2025. The project features a completed green-level trail and, as of late 2025, aims to create a comprehensive, progressive trail system featuring scenic views of the Pacific Ocean.
