Bird Watching Explorience
Bird lovers can flock to this Explorience hosted by the Seven Capes Bird Alliance to learn about coastal birds and their natural habitat. This bird-watching adventure starts with a brief overview by a local expert followed by a guided walk at the Alder Island Nature Trail Loop. This easy, one-mile trail loops through riparian and wetland habitat along the Siletz River. Look for Warbling Vireo, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, and other warblers and raptors.
This Bird Watching Explorience begins at 9 a.m., lasts for two hours, is free, and requires no registration. Meet in the parking lot on the east side of Hwy 101 at the south end of the Siletz River Bridge.
