Bird Watching Explorience
Bird lovers can flock to this Explorience hosted by the Seven Capes Bird Alliance to learn about coastal birds and their natural habitat. This bird-watching adventure starts with a brief overview by a local expert followed by a guided walk at the mouth of the Salmon River in the Cascade Head Scenic Area. This walk starts at Knight Park then meanders along the river then through woodlands and marshy areas. Look for grebes, gulls, cormorants, waterfowl, and raptors while hearing facts about protected estuarine habitats and the birds and other wildlife dependent on these areas for survival.
This Bird Watching Explorience begins Saturday, November 8th at 9 a.m., lasts for two hours, is free, and requires no registration. Meet in the Knight Park parking lot.
