45th Parallel Marker Opening Ceremony

You’re invited to the 45th Parallel, the halfway point of the northern hemisphere. Situated 45 degrees north of the equator and 45 degrees south of the North Pole, the 45th Parallel marks the halfway point between the two. In Lincoln City, the 45th Parallel passes through the south end of Roads End, crossing across both land of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and Highway 101.

Chinook Winds Casino Resort and Explore Lincoln City invite you to join in the recognition of this unique geographic distinction as they unveil new signage marking the spot where the 45th parallel runs through town. Exciting giveaways and photo opportunities will follow a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony.
