Fall Kite Festival

The Fall Kite Festival is the original kite festival in Lincoln City. Beginning in 1978, the festival was the dream of a group of local kite enthusiasts which has continued over the years! In it’s 32nd year, you can still see many of the original organizers participating in the festivities. Many of the featured fliers will tell you their passion for kite flying started here, in Lincoln City.

This year’s festival will include featured flier kite flying demonstrations, kids’ kite making, kids’ passport to kites, Rokaku battle with past national champion Ronda Brewer, “Build your own Rokaku” kite making class, kite making demos with Deb Cooley, quadline mass ascension, and fun for the whole family. This year’s theme is “Quad-Zilla!”.
