1st Tuesday Talks at Coos History Museum

The First Tuesday Talks Lecture Series features speakers from various backgrounds, locations, and topics with a focus on Southern Oregon Coast history. 

Doors open at 5:30 pm and each lecture will begin at 6:00 pm. The museum, galleries, and store will be open for extended hours during the event. Admission is free for museum members. 

Admission for non-members in person is $7.00 and admission for non-members online is $5.

SEPT 6th – Gary Vonderhoe – “Salmon Trout Enhancement Program (STEP) in the Coos Basin”.

OCT 4th – Dr. Shon Schooler – “History of the Green Crab invasion of Coos Bay”.

NOV 1st – Troy Anderson, Jaeci Hall, Enna Helms, and Patty Phillips – “Reclaiming Our Words: Tribal Language efforts on the South Coast”.

DEC 6th – Patty Phillips – “A Night of Traditional Coos Bay Stories”.
