Sunset Bay Angler Of The Day Kayak Fishing Challenge

The Sunset Bay Angler Of The Day Kayak Fishing Challenge (SBAOTD) is an annual human powered kayak only fishing competition held on the ocean near Coos Bay Oregon. This year’s 15th annual tournament is set to begin at first light on Saturday, September 13th, 2025.

Pre-registration is required to compete. The entry fee is $35. The registration cut-off will be at a date determined by the event coordinators. The first 40 contestants to pay their entry fee will receive a Captain’s Bag. Find every detail about this event on Facebook here.
