Motorcycle Ride Along The Oregon Coast

Posted by Kerry Rod / September 8, 2011

Spent ten spectacular days in Oregon riding my new 2011 CB1000R motorcycle along Oregon Coast Highway 101 staying at Coos Bay and Newport. This was my first time ever along the coast. What surprised me the most was how beautiful the Oregon coast really is and the breathtaking rides across the many bridges designed and built in the 1930s by Conde McCullough – Oregon’s Master Bridge Builder. They are all beautiful and amazing!

This posting has always been one of my favorites. The drive up from Coos Bay to Newport is one of the most extreme and rugged views I have ever seen. Florence entertains festivals and activities that deliver a divine amount of priceless bikes in a gathering. The bridges ARE magnificent, but there is SO much more. The wildlife for one. So many natural wonders too! Untouched and Historic, this whole Oregon Coastline is known to be “magical”. This coast is amazing and blessed, really. Historical Indian tales have lands and grounds in places, that have spiritual qualities. Healing qualities too. Oh, and yes, the “romantic” side. Nye Beach, said to be one of the most romantic beaches here. Fall in love, be in love, and stay in love with the Central Oregon Coast.
