First Time

Posted by Shawn McEntire / March 1, 2009

Me and my wife came over to see a BSU vs Oregon Football Game last fall. It was the first trip we had taken anywhere together. Me and my best friend of over 15 years was orginally suppose to have gone, he was diagnosed with brain cancer 2 weeks before and had to have emergency surgery to remove a tumor. So he game me and my wife Lindsy the tickets and told us to have fun. We drove over to Portland on a Friday night and drove down to Eugene Saturday to the game. We ended up leaving early so we could make it to the coast. Neither of us had every gone and wanted to see it. We had limited time before it got dark. We made it to Lincoln City and love it as soon as we got there. We got to witness some fisherman come in and took pictures of all the sealions that were there. We were able to make it to the lighthouse just as the sun was going down. It was so awesome. We ended up traveling up the coast from there but it got dark and we didn’t get to see much but had the time of our lives. We drove home the next day and ended up getting engaged the following week. We are now planning on going back sometime soon to go on a belated honeymoon. We didn’t have time to go on one when we got married and could not afford it. But we loved the trip and cant wait to spend some time on your coast, one of the coolest places we have ever been.
