North Bend, Oregon 97459541.756.0904The Coquille people (pronounced Kó-kél') have lived along the rivers and estuaries of Oregon?s southern coast, primarily among the Coquille and Coos River watersheds. Major Coquille villages existed near present-day Bandon, Myrtle Point, Coquille and Charleston. Archaeological evidence suggests that the Coquille Indians have lived near the Southern Oregon Coast for at least 1,000 generations. Throughout these generations, members of the Coquille tribe spoke either Clatskanie, Umpqua or Coquille-Tolowa,
