The Rockaway Beach July 4th Celebration

With one of the largest celebrations on the North Coast, Rockaway Beach is the place to be on July 4. Starting with our Independence Parade at 11 a.m., the day’s festivities include a bake sale, dachshund races, and a flyover by the National Guard. When it gets dark, around 10 p.m., head to the Ocean’s Edge Wayside or Rockaway beaches for a spectacular fireworks display to cap the holiday fun.

July 4th Celebration Schedule:

Rockaway Lioness Baked Goods & Plant Sale at 9AM at the Lions Club (until sold out)

Independence Day Parade at 11AM  Downtown – This year’s theme: 75 years of fun!

10th Annual Dachshund Races from Noon – 4PM at Phyllis Baker City Park (2nd Street)

Lions/Lionesses Day of Fun at the Beach at 1PM

Fireworks & Hot Dogs Sales All day at The Ocean’s Edge Wayside

Rockaway Beach Volunteer Fire Department Presents Fireworks Show @ The Ocean’s Edge Starts at Dusk

Our show was listed in Coastal Living magazine as some of the best fireworks in the nation!

The Wayside parking lot will be a family-friendly zone, pedestrian only, no vehicles or live fireworks, please.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks. There will be 15 minute loading and unloading zones.
