South Coast Striders Hike – Blacklock Point, Floras Lake

Short Hike: 4 mile round trip going south along beach from Floras Lake.

Long Hike: 8.5 mile trip to Blacklock point and return with Reg Pullen.

Directions: 8:10am leave Coos Bay Visitor Center and caravan to Boice-Cope County Park – Floras Lake. Take Hwy 101 1/2 mile south of Langlois then follow the signs.

Arrive 15 minutes early for sign in and hike information. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to come! Short hikes have an average pace of 2mph and last 2.5 -3.5 hrs while long hikes average 2-3mph pace and can last 3-6 hours. Bring lunch and water and rain-gear, dress in layers, and wear sturdy waterproof boots.
