OCMA Free Concert – The Klezmonauts

Posted by OCVA / July 23, 2016

An outdoor concert in the garden, you may plan for the weather and bring your own picnic and seating. Dancing in the grass is generally part of the shows at Shore Acres.

Building on the klezmer tradition, the Klezmonauts add influences from their own backgrounds in jazz, bluegrass, Indian, African, and classical music. Add a healthy dose of spirited improvisation, and the resulting sound is intricate and exhilarating, a joy to listen or dance to.

Since their inception in 1996, the Klezmonauts have entertained at countless festivals, weddings, bar mitzvahs, concerts, and community events throughout the Northwest. The Klezmonauts are: Chip Cohen on fiddle, Jeremy Wegner on mandolin, Ken Sokolov on drums & percussion,
Michael Rubinstein on bass, Mike Curtis, clarinet & saxophones.
