60th Annual Newport Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival

Posted by OCVA / May 1, 2016

Join the celebration! The 60th Annual Newport Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival takes place from April 28 – May 1, 2016. This year's theme is the Value of Liberty and the jam-packed schedule offers something for everyone.

Originally started in the late 1930s to boost tourism with a free Dungeness crab dinner, our festival has evolved to include a traditional hometown parade, numerous Veterans and Active Duty tributes/celebrations – including the annual "Reading of the Names" and the Traveling Oregon Memorial Wall, a Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival Court and Queen's Coronation, the popular Davis Shows Northwest Family Carnival and many other activities. We're particularly honored to announce that SGT Jay Louisiana, a local hero, will serve as the Parade's Grand Marshal (Noon-2PM on Saturday, April 30, 2016).
