Summer Love-In at the Astoria Coffee House
Are you ready for alittle “Summer Loving” this 4th of July weekend? Well dig out your bell bottoms, because on Saturday July 5th starting at 9:00pm the Astoria Coffee House & Bistro, 243 11th Street in downtown Astoria (the “Little San Francisco North”), will be hosting a 1960’s dance party featuring the multi styled band “Acústica World Music”.
This “Far-Out” party is guaranteed to rock the night away as the Astoria-based band, “Acústica” with multi-lingual vocalist, Dolores Villareal and band members John Orr on guitar and harmony vocals, Dave Ambrose on upright bass and Brigido Eduardo on Latin percussion, will channel the era where Jefferson Airplane ruled and Janis Joplin was a rising star, as they highlight songs such as “White Rabbit”, “She’s Not There”, “White Bird” and “California Dreamin’” to an eclectic mix of rhythms and a groovy “Out-of-Sight” live performance that will make you want to get up shake your booty!
It’s only $five dollars at the door (21 and old only please!) and food and drink will be available. So don’t be left out of the happening in Astoria July 4th weekend!
