Folk Artist Lauren Sheehan at Lincoln City Cultural Center
Nationally acclaimed Americana musician Lauren Sheehan will perform in concert 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5 and present a workshop at 10 a.m., Sunday, April 6 at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. Sheehan has recently appeared on National Public Radio, has four CDs that charted in the top 20 on folk radio, received a 2012 Portland Music Award for outstanding achievement in folk, has been included in the Library of Congress as part of the MusicBox project and recently performed as guitarist for the CD, “The Light Still Burns,” companion to the history book Kalamazoo Gals: A Story of Extraordinary Women & Gibson’s “Banner” Guitars of WWII.
Tickets for the concert are $12 in advance and $14 at the door. Admission to the workshop is by donation with a suggested scale of $5 to $10.
