Guitar, Banjo & Dobro with Slipshod

Posted by OCVA / January 18, 2014

On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Lincoln City Cultural Center will proudly present an evening of bluegrass, Americana and blues from a dynamic duo called Slipshod. The show will begin at 7 pm at the LCCC, 540 NE Hwy. 101 inside the historic Delake School building.

Slipshod is Matt Snook (dobro and banjo) and Steve Blanchard (guitar and mandolin). They met a number of years ago, as part of the Northwest bluegrass community, and became fast friends – and picking partners. They have similar musical styles, yet they draw on many different influences: Gordon Lightfoot, Norman Blake, Simon and Garfunkel, and Tim O’Brien, to name a few.
